About Fleuriste

I never planned to be a floral designer or educator.
I was just someone who discovered that flowers made me happy.

At the time, flowers were my escape from a stressful banking job. What started as a way to decompress slowly turned into something deeper. I got curious, then committed, and before long, a little obsessed. The more I worked with flowers, the more I realised how grounding the process was, and how much I wanted to share that experience with others.

I teach the floral techniques I wish I had when I first started. Approachable, practical, and free from stiff, technical rules that make floristry feel intimidating or inaccessible. My classes and bouquets are for people who love flowers. That’s it. No pressure to be perfect, no expectation to turn it into a business, and no need for it to be anything other than enjoyable.

Flowers aren’t about flawless bouquets or making them last forever. Their beauty lies in their fleeting nature. Working with flowers gives you permission to slow down, to be present, and to create something with your hands without needing it to be productive or permanent. In that small window of time, arranging flowers becomes a way to breathe, to reset, and to reconnect with yourself.

Fleuriste grew from this philosophy.

Today, Fleuriste is a florist and floral school in Singapore offering WSQ classes, floral workshops, corporate workshops, retail bouquets, and wedding florals. Operating as both a working floral studio and a place of learning, the studio brings together professional floral practice and hands-on teaching.

Fleuriste is founded and led by me, Joan, a professional florist with over a decade of industry experience. Every bouquet is personally designed by me, and every class is taught and shaped by real-world floral practice. Teaching and studio work are intentionally kept close, so what’s shared in class is always grounded in how flowers are actually worked with outside the classroom.

I can’t wait to welcome you to our studio.
